Dear Members,
Golf NSW has provided the following update re: Course closures.
"After reconsideration, the Office of Sport - NSW Government has advised that golf is considered an activity that can continue to be played in line with Public Health Orders relating to public gathering limits, social distancing, and the elderly."
They have also prepared an FAQ document that can be found here
The statement from the Office of Sport - NSW Government is as follows:
The Office of Sport would like to clarify the advice that went out on Monday 30 March 2020. As you know, there are now restrictions around public gatherings and rules around leaving your home. These new measures are in place to keep the community safe during the COVID-19 outbreak. But it is important to note that people are allowed to leave their homes for the purpose of exercise. For more information on the new restrictions, please click here

What does this mean for sport and active recreation organisations?
The NSW Government has issued guidelines allowing people to go outside and exercise. Any form of exercise is to be undertaken in compliance with the Public Health Orders, meaning that people must not participate in groups greater than two persons at any point in time.
Therefore, individual sports such as golf and tennis can continue provided the Public Health Orders are complied with.
As such, we are pleased to advise that we will reopen the golf course on Saturday 4th April 2020 for members’ social play only.
Green fees will be $13 for 18 holes and $8 or 9 holes.
NB. COVID-19 is a nasty virus that can be fatal if the wrong people get it. Based on current information and clinical expertise, older adults (70+) and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at a higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. Many of those fall right into the demographic of Australian golf.
Please ensure that you adhere to the following at all times:
Please refer COVID-19 Temporary Local Rules – Rev2 now on the website here that apply for your safety.
Other Items:
It is imperative that all social distance rules that have been stipulated by the government are adhered to at all times. Our staff will be enforcing these strict measures. Action will be taken against any person who does not follow these rules. We expect all members show respect to our staff who are here risking their own health to serve you.
If you are already booked in for this weekend, please note that your tee time could change due to the amended group size from four players per group to two. These timesheets will be available to view from tomorrow. Mid-week bookings that appeared online yesterday have been cancelled.
Please take care of yourself and each other.
Kind regards,
Trevor Harrison
