On behalf of The Board and Management and staff we trust you are keeping well.
We would like to thank all of our members for their support during this pandemic and advise that the Board & Management is working hard on a recovery plan to ensure the future of NBGC. The Board will meet this coming Friday via video conference to develop further strategies and devise a business plan going forward under the current circumstances.
The key to this will be to keep a tight rein on our expenditure. This will be presented to members once our cash flow, government rebates and subsidies have been determined. We are awaiting the Federal Governments decision today on further stimulus to the economy with the key part being the “Jobkeepers Payment”.
All of our greens staff are back at work with the exception of one. We are running a skeleton staff to wind down the Clubhouse affairs and carry out any tasks required during the shutdown. There are always things to be done and maintained even when closed. We are required to sanitize touch points, clean the toilets and monitor social distancing.
For those of you who are playing golf we remind you to “show and go”.
Gosh, I feel like your mother.
We advise that the greens will not be cut over the long weekend to avoid overtime payments so here’s a tip, putt harder!!
Next week we would like to include some details from members. We’ll call it “What’s Your Story”. Provide a brief outline of what you have been doing in isolation including some pics (let’s keep it clean, lol). So we don’t get inundated we will start with surnames beginning with “A”. Details on which email address to send your “Story” to will be announced next week.
